Throughout 2015, Associated Building Supply, Inc., and PAM had partnered up for a few projects lead by ABSi sales consultant Bob Parliament as well Rich Mathieu. The projects feature, fixed windows, bi-fold, multi-slide as well as lift and slide doors featuring PAM’s slide and seal technology.
Fixed Windows are an effective, inexpensive way of allowing natural light into those dull areas of the home, like the ends of hallways or stairwell landings. Added or coupled to your operable windows and doors, fixed windows will noticeably brighten up living areas and increase your vision area. Bi-fold doors also known as folding doors or accordion doors, along with multi-slide, and lift and slide doors, open up by folding inward at the middle or end. They are a usually found indoors and consist of multiple panels. These doors can provide a quick sight and sound division with a simple operation.
Exclusive to PAM, the patent-pending Slide & Seal represents a quantum leap in sliding door technology. The panels glide effortlessly along the track until they reach the closed position, which automatically triggers an independently-operating bottom threshold to drop and seal the doors, thus eliminating the need for bulky handles to operate and lower each panel.
The advantages of the Slide & Seal door system over traditional Lift & Slides are numerous: adjustability in the rollers to facilitate installation and accommodate variations in the opening, reduced cost and cleaner lines due to less visible hardware, flush handles and edge pulls that allow the panels to disappear flush into a pocket, and the ability to automate the door with remote or keypad operation while retaining weather performance.
